Hosts Chennai Super Kings held their nerve to win a closely fought contest against defending Champs Kolkata Knight Riders this evening at Chepauk. It was high-scoring affair on a perfect batting strip as CSK scored 200 and KKR ending up second with 186.

Defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders got their much needed victory against Kings XI Punjab to stay alive in the competition. It was a clinical performance from the hosts with the bat and the ball to ease to a 6-wicket victory with 10 balls to spare. Kings XI Punjab had a poor day on the field dropping catches and misfielding quite a bit.
